The staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were nice and clean
I stayed on a Saturday night. Didn't realise the pub below did not close until 2am!! Loud music played till around 1:30am. So therefore had a rubbish sleep. Also the tv did not work when arrived but staff were helpful & went out to purchase an aerial for us and tv worked after that.

we like staying there its very clean and near my family we enjoyed a lovely breakfast although we had difficulty understanding one lady staff with being hard of hearing but other staff were helpful we shall be back! we recommend the Stag to my son he flies over from Sweden to see his family
there was nothing to dislike but was disappointed that my son had a room without a bath/shower room but was charged the same amount as us with a shower room and there was not much choice of breakfast for my daughter who is vegetarian

I've stayed here several times and think it's the best of the options in Enfield. The location's very convenient if you want to be in Enfield proper. The rooms are quite small (as reflected in the price) but they're nicely done, in a simple uncluttered style. I tend to ask for the "double with separate private bathroom" because the bathroom is massive, even though it's up a flight of stairs.
Unfortunately, on my most recent stay, I discovered the pub downstairs has a Jekyll & Hyde aspect to it - it's lovely and quiet during the week, but on a Friday night it stayed open till 2am, with shouting and thumping music all that time. It was impossible to sleep, even with earplugs. This place really needs to decide whether it wants to be a pub or a hotel; it can't be both, because the issue has put me completely off booking here again... despite all my positive experiences mid-week. (Even mid-week it's quite noisy because it's right next to the bus station, but that noise at least comes from outside!)

Location
Cleaniness Heating was too high and could not turn down.I had caught cold heat day as we sweated a lot during the night. There was no one to check us in at time agreed at 15.00.we waited 1 30hrs for someone to check us in and another hour to get keys so we were stuck in room for that time. I would never stay there again

Everything was really good, personnel was attentive. Appreciated the way our double room was arranged. Central heating, an iron and coffee/tea making machines available were an advantage. Its location was unbeatable, near the pub.

a strange fitness adventure on cast iron stairs with limited comfort in a cramped room but free wi-fi made it bearable
Cosy spot with free wi-fi.

As I was travelling with my 16 year old son I had booked a twin room, but on my arrival I was told there was no twin room available ,and as such we had to move to a single room as did my son this was not satisfactory to us. Also we were awoke by people coming into the hotel at 5.30 AM SAT MORNING THERE IS NO WAY WE WILL BOOK THE STAG HOTEL AGAIN

Not much apart from the friendly staff. Near to shops and restaurants.
I paid extra for room with private bath expecting en suite but bathroom was up two flights of stairs. Windows were nailed shut so no fresh air with heating turned high during the night. Very noisy because of bus station opposite, then drunks at 4am and finally beer deliveries at 5.30am! Prices of drinks at the bar were ridiculously high - £5.35 for a glass of wine. I asked for a smoking room and wasn't told this is a totally non smoking hotel. Definitely not recommended for older people, people with disabilities and families as there are many steps to climb and getting luggage to the room was extremely difficult.Three hour bus journey to Oxford street changing buses three times, otherwise a walk up to the train station up a steep hill and change to underground.

Very nicely decorated, very clean..
Many rooms seem to have a window above an all night bus stop and bus terminus. We got no sleep at all and other guests told us they had not slept either. Niggles:- Our room's bathroom was lovely but on another floor. The room was warm but the bad was against the radiator. There is no breakfast before 8pm and pub food is not available in the evening.

The location was great, really close to shops and transport links. The staff were kind of nice, and it seemed like a chill vibe in the bar. The bedding was clean, and i liked that there were tea and coffee facilities in the room.

It appeared they had doubled booked the room but handled it very well.Did`nt like the fact my bathroom was outside of room upstairs said for private use of room 29 but other people had used did`nt even flush"" and the noise of buses til early Am across the way and no proper parking managed to park in bay.But then had to be up and out 8am due to traffic warden which I did see but was Very Kind did`nt give me ticket..would have been nice to eat there but food only served lunchtime and breakfast.

Very clean and tidy
The room we stayed in was very small for a double. More suitable for a single person. The heating was on all night and that meant because the room was so small we had to sleep with the windows open!
